Markets run around the clock
Crypto markets usually trade 24 hours a day, including weekends. Prices can differ between exchanges. The chart here identifies its exchange and trading pair; a USD pair is not a price in pounds.
Market cap and volume
Market capitalisation is price multiplied by circulating supply. Volume measures trading activity over a period; high activity does not automatically mean an asset is safe. Supply estimates and reported volume may differ between sources.
Percentage changes need context
A 24-hour change is different from a stock market session change. Use the period and currency shown by the data provider. A large green tile shows a past move, not a prediction.
Liquidity and spreads
Liquidity is how easily an asset can be bought or sold without moving its price much. A wide spread—the gap between buying and selling prices—and low liquidity can increase costs.
